Plants Are No Longer Available For Spring Shipping, but we will begin fall shipment of plants on September 21st. The last day to order plants for fall shipment is October 16th.

We ship seed all year. However, we will NOT be shipping seed from June 27th through July 6th, as we will be taking inventory.  

In the 37 years that Prairie Nursery has been in business, we have come to appreciate that in addition to the unmatched beauty and natural habitat provided by our native wildflowers, grasses, sedges and ferns, they also provide tremendous value. Prairies and gardens utilizing these native plants require a surprisingly small amount of upkeep for maintaining their beauty, helping to manage rainfall runoff, preventing erosion and improving the soil.


In addition to the long list of individual native perennial potted plants and seeds, we are currently offering 36 gardens and 23 seed mixes, to satisfy nearly every person's needs. The gardens and seed mixes are specifically designed to create habitat and sustenance for the wonderful garden visitors that nature sends your way!

Our professional ecologists can help you create a natural landscape. We work with you every step of the way including planning, Design and installation.

As always, we offer a wide variety of Native Plants and Seed Mixes, for sunny prairies to shady woodlands.
